The Power of Manifestation
“In order to manifest it, you must believe in it’s inevitability.” The act of manifestation is very similar to those affirmations we talk about all the time. The “Law of Attraction” if you will. It’s the action of putting what you desire into the universe, channeling the energy to make it a reality! I truly believe that your thoughts are SO SO powerful…they control your mind, in turn controlling your life as well. Might as well make it good, right? Visualize your highest self and start showing up as her! Know what you want out of this life, and don’t stop until you get there! Whether that be in your…

Same Storm, Different Boat
I heard a quote the other day that really stood out to me. It said: “WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME STORM, BUT NOT IN THE SAME BOAT.” Damn isn’t that true!? Especially in the midst of the chaos these days. The rain is relentlessly pouring down on us all, yet we have no idea the severity for each individual. Someone may have had years of practice, others may have a hole in the bottom of their boat…a broken sail…! Who knows? In my opinion, it is not right for a man on a big fancy cruise ship to criticize the man on a paddle boat. They are not even…

We’re All In This Together
I’m not the first to say it, and I know I won’t be the last…but this month has been WILD! I’ve been in a brain fog and at an utter loss for words for the last week now. Trying desperately to understand it all and find some sort of normalcy amongst the chaos and uncertainty. Life as we knew it seems to be a faint memory now, and it feels like we’re living in a false reality or something. I love the airport analogy that I keep seeing on social media about how nothing makes sense…time doesn’t exist…there are no rules… It’s just blowing my mind how fast things escalated!…

2020 Word of the Year
Ohhh Myyy Goddd (said like Janice from FRIENDS)…it’s 2020! Not only are we beginning a brand new year, but an entirely new DECADE! Man oh man have times changed since good ole 2010. But that, my friend, is a story for another time. Today, I want to share with you something that’s been on my mind for a couple weeks. Something I always look forward to, and a topic we all seem to be talking about right now! Let’s talk “WORD OF THE YEAR”. Have you ever done a word of the year; where you begin in January, choosing a specific word/phrase to help set your intentions for the new…

Thankful? Grateful? Blessed?
It’s not JOY that makes us GRATEFUL. It’s GRATITUDE that makes us JOYFUL. Each year, we enter this holiday season with expectations of all kinds. Whether it be the hectic travel plans, the hustle and bustle of last minute shopping, or the stress of cooking… Life can quickly become chaos before our very eyes. Even when we convince ourselves that “this time will be different” it always seems to sneak up on us doesn’t it? One time or another, we’ll probably find things not going exactly our way, causing us to overreact and be discontent. Feeling the exact OPPOSITE of what this time is meant to be all about! I…

Inhale the FUTURE, Exhale the PAST
Letting go is hard for me. Sometimes I find myself so caught up in the past, I forget to live in the moment. Forcing myself to remember all of the good old times and not actually realizing just how good I have it now too. For example, the year I turned 16 was one of the best summers of my life. Fast forward to my Senior trip in Florida, unforgettable. Moving all the way to North Carolina with my best friend, (insane) but SO INCREDIBLE. Or when I turned 20 and launched my very own online clothing store!? All the times I was living my best and happiest life, gone…

Failure is NOT Fatal
FAILURE. What an intimidating word. The sheer idea of failing haunts me… Makes me afraid of so many things. Holds me back from new experiences, and possible success. It robs us of our joy and feels like that bully who laughs at other people’s mistakes just to feel bigger and better about their ego. But in all honesty, is the true concept of FAILURE really half as bad as the picture we paint in our minds? In my opinion, most of the time, there is no true “failure”–we either win or we learn. Applying that simple formula to so many avenues of life, checks out. When we think we’ve…

Comfort Zone
Hi. I’m Taylor, and I’m an introvert. My whole life has been an ongoing series of “maybe if I sit in the back with my head down, they won’t see me, and won’t talk to me, and won’t bother me.” 21 years have gone by, and I’ve been quite anxious for most of them. Resting comfortably in my little box, holding onto familiar things as a security blanket of sorts. Granted, the longer I live, the better I’m trying to be about it. (but it’s a process) **PSA: I apologize for this slightly lengthy story… Just get comfy, and hopefully you can gain somethinggg from it. Who knows, perhaps…

Growing and Changing
“Remember, growing might feel like breaking at first.” I have this notebook page filled with new ideas on what to write next…but when I stumbled upon this quote earlier, it kind of hit me like a ton of bricks and I knew I had to run with it. Ever have those moments where you feel like the universe is SCREAMING at you!? That’s what this was. I feel like a broken ass record sometimes when I sit here to talk to you, and all I can do is muster up the same words about the same old feelings… Being lost, and scared, and overwhelmed. I don’t know about…

The Finer Things
“Enjoy the little things in life, because one day you’ll look back, and realize they were the big things.” Oh how this quote resonates with me. When I think about some of my most fond memories, or my favorite things about my favorite people–it always comes down to the small details. The inside jokes…the spur of the moment outings…all of the random elements that make them unique… THOSE are what mean the most to me. Of course big things can be important too, but come on. You have to admit, it’s so much more exciting when you let yourself get captivated by the finer things life has to…
